Background of the Customer

A global healthcare company with a portfolio of therapies and products in women’s health, biosimilars, and established brands across a wide array of conditions and diseases. Their portfolio encompasses more than 60 medicines and products across a range of areas including reproductive health, heart disease, oncology, immunology, dermatology, allergy, and asthma. They bring these important therapies to more than 140 markets around the world.

Key Objectives/Challenges

The customer divested from the parent company and wanted to establish an independent. They chose S/4HANA to simplify systems and processes that drive value and sustainable growth.

Our Solution

The solution included key components of SAP including digital core, IBP, EHS, EWM, Ariba, GBT and ATTP. The solution included integration with 20+ including SFDC, ServiceNow, Coup, Vertex, BlueYonder and Veeva Systems. A global template was created with a series of workshops with global participants and fine-tuning with pilot rollout to 2 countries. The rest of the countries were deployed in 4 drops.

The rollout enabled the customer to streamline their process globally:

  • A single template globally with local customisations required for regulation and localisation
  • Support languages of the respective countries
  • A global, standardized technology platform that integrates business processes and people, and provides real-time analytics
